The Gallery at the Hotel St. Nicholas is not only a place where guests can purchase hotel and Boiler Room Tavern related items. We also feature the work of local artists from the Pikes Peak and Front Range area. Feel free to browse the gallery. Paintings and mosaics that are displayed on the lower level of the Hotel St. Nicholas are available for purchase. Please see a staff member if you are interested in the individual artist or if you'd like to buy a piece.

Teller County is home to more than just casinos! Explore the region by hiking any one of the scores of trails, or take a scenic drive down one of the short but out of the way dirt roads (previous rail beds). Talk to one of our staff; we can tell you what is easy or hard for hikers, or accessible by car, 4WD, or AWD if driving.
Vindicator Trail
Located north of the town of Victor, this 2 mile loop takes you along old mines. An easy walk, with lots of benches should you need to rest, and plenty of placards indicating the histories of the many gold mine remnants you'll pass by.
Phantom Canyon Road
This well-maintained dirt road starts out east of Victor, travels through private and BLM land, and ends up outside of Florence, Colorado. Not a scary drive, and regular cars are able to make the trip. The Phantom Canyon Road is build on former rail beds, and follows Eightmile Creek. Many stunning views can be had, and there are facilities and picnic areas in BLM areas.
